Davis Vision’s program quality has earned the following accreditations, certifications, recognition and awards:

National Committee for Quality Assurance Certification for Credentialing – In July 2004, Davis Vision received the NCQA’s Certification in Credentialing and continues to maintain that certification today -- one of a select few vision care programs in the entire country to have earned this certification.
The Joint Commission Accredited 2001-2007 (during PPO accreditation program), Davis Vision was first vision care PPO to receive accreditation
International Organization for Standardization - ISO 9001:2000 Certification: All Davis Vision’s labs
Cooperative Ophthalmic Lens Testing Service, Inc.’s (COLTS) Certification for Prescription Accuracy and FDA Conformance (impact-resistance): Third party certification and validation of the highest level of prescription accuracy and quality.

Davis Vision’s commitment to high quality and consistency is externally validated by two internationally recognized organizations dedicated to quality management: ISO and COLTs. Davis Vision is one of only three ophthalmic operations in the entire nation that is ISO 9001:2000 certified, and is the only managed care organization whose manufacturing facilities are certified.

In addition to COLT’s Certification for Prescription Accuracy and FDA Conformance for impact resistance, our products are also externally validated by COLTS, through their “Prescription Quality Program”, a semi-annual mystery shopping of the products we manufacture. Our documentation of processes and results along with regular verifications for accuracy ensure that product deviations and waste are minimized, thus containing costs while ensuring that the benefits remain affordable well into the future.
