100% of all members utilizing the plan can complete a Patient Satisfaction Survey online after using the benefit. Patient satisfaction cards mailed to a sample of benefit users.
24-hour, toll-free phone access to the wholly owned World Class ophthalmic fabrication laboratories with consistent quality assurance review and results.
Monday-Saturday mail order or fax to contracted (third party) laboratory. Different results based on laboratory selected.
24-hour member services through a toll-free number utilizing Davis Vision's industry benchmarked, proprietary CompuVision™ software system as well as on the Internet, for user-friendly benefit access.
Authorization requests made via mail, eliminating easy access for member/client inquiries, or requiring additional fees paid for phone-in service.
Quality Assurance
Claims adjudicated electronically via CompuVision™, which integrates laboratory, provider and administrative services to guarantee 100% billing accuracy. Doctors fill out complex forms that are manually entered and subject to human error.
Doctors selected for the panel based solely on an extensive credentialing process and geographic need. There is no charge for panel affiliation and providers must comply with Davis Vision's regulations and quality initiatives.
Panel open to all, significantly reducing cost-containment features and quality control through lack of selection processes.
Cost
All benefits priced at uniform regional predetermined and guaranteed fees. Examination and eyewear material fees may vary by provider.
Virtually every lens type and many popular coatings covered, eliminating or greatly reducing member's out-of-pocket expense. Limited variety of lens options with most coatings considered "extras" at considerable out-of-pocket expense.
Extensive eyewear collection of high quality fashion frames in the Frame Collection. Backed by one year unconditional breakage warranty. The frame collection can be augmented by a client-specific frame allowance. No standard collection; member out-of-pocket expense and quality varies from one provider to the next. Warranties on materials usually not provided (or, if offered, require an additional charge).
Volume purchasing of lenses and frames guarantees maximum cost-effectiveness. No other plan purchases at same discount level as Davis Vision.
